Stop your propaganda against NUP

  • Leader of Opposition to New Vision

The Leader of Opposition Hon Mathias Mpuuga has come out to advise New Vision to stop it’s false propaganda against the National Unity Platform.

This was after the government owned newspaper published an article saying that top NUP bosses were involved in a bitter split.

Further, the newspaper said that the Bobi Wine loyalists were accusing Mpuuga of betrayal.

The Mukungwe-Nyendo Mp wasn’t happy with the article and hit at the New Vision CEO Don Wanyama.

Mpuuga then held a press conference to explain what happened at the recent NUP retreat since it’s where New Vision based the article.

The MP said this article was false and someone’s wild imagination.

He added that he wasn’t aware of the disagreements the newspaper had alleged and it was meant to discredit the party and cause misinformation.

He went ahead to say that a political party is a public domain and not private property.

Therefore in case of any changes, communication is always made public.

Mpuuga also said that such articles are aimed at disintegration of the party but this won’t happen.

According to the MP, the major purpose of the retreat was to review their first 6 months in office.

They also intended to reinvent themselves and set new targets and how to achieve them.

He concluded by saying that they have a duty as the leading opposition party to lead other parties into unity to uproot dictatorship.
