Disgraced socialite Charles Olimu alias Sipapa may end 2023 on a low note after court once again postponed his trial to November 20, 2023.
Sipapa’s lawyer Geoffrey Turyamusiima explained that Sipapa was sent back to Luzira prison after the government prosecutor claimed he wasn’t ready to go on with the case. The prosecutor defended their call by saying that some of his work was not photocopied and needed to gather more details for his file.
The judge agreed with the prosecutor’s explanation and therefore postponed the case to a later date. Sipapa’s next case hearing will take place on November 20 at the High Court.
The flamboyant Sipapa has been behind bars for over a year since his sudden fall from grace.
Sipapa was arrested last year in September on charges of aggravated robbery at the home of South Sudanese National, Jacob Arok, in Kawuku-Bunga that happened on 28th August, 2022. The robbery was connected to $429,000, four iPhones, two apple laptops, a DELL Laptop, gold jewelry among the many items.
