Rubaga South Member of Parliament has scoffed at constituency rival singer cum politician Mukibi Sadat alias Khalifa Aganaga for his fundraising campaign.
Aganaga who has started a fundraising drive to obtain enough money for his upcoming campaigns to unseat Rubaga South MP, Kato Lubwama says he needs as low Shs. 1,000 from each well-wisher, to help him roll his campaign.
“My candidature is for everyone, every person no matter their background. I, therefore, call upon all people who know me, my fans, and everyone interested in change to contribute to this campaign,” Aganaga said.
“This is a mission and we shall not wait for someone to get enough money. We can contribute Shs1000 without really hardening anyone’s financial position,” he added.
However, Kato Lubwama the Rubaga South incumbent advised the singer to keep away from politics unless he has some money.
“He should borrow from the bank if he has collateral. Who will he represent when he has no money? He should use the time to organize himself in behavior and dress code,” Lubwama said.
“Who sent him to stand for a parliamentarian seat? He has no money, he will become a thief,” Lubwama added.
