Twitter beef between Bobi Wine and Muhoozi Kainerugaba escalates

The Twitter war between NUP leader Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine and first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba who doubles as the Commander of the Land Forces seems to have taken a new twist.

The latest in their long line of rows concerns journalist Andrew Mwenda.

Mwenda a few days ago appeared in military chopper wearing the UPDF uniform and even speaking on behalf of the force.

Many people criticized this move and the UPDF issued a statement saying it was investigating how Mwenda ended up in their wear.

Muhoozi however defended Mwenda saying that he’s just a fan of the force who is excited by the Army’s work.

This saw Bobi Wine hit back at Muhoozi saying that he was portraying what dictatorship is all about.

Bobi Wine said that it’s a pity that hundreds of his supporters were arrested and some murdered simply because of wearing a red beret.

He went ahead to say that no government agency will look into Mwenda’s behavior simply because Muhoozi had spoken.

The pair have been clashing together for some time now.

Their bickering became more evident after Kyagulanyi declared his intentions to contest against Muhoozi’s father in the previous presidential elections.
