Kampala – Uganda Hoozambe singer D Star has described Kapeke as an upcoming artiste, arguing that his music has not made a significant impact on Uganda’s music scene.
In a recent interview, D Star questioned Kapeke’s musical achievements and wondered which of his songs had earned him recognition as a top artiste.
He singled out “Wanika AK”, arguing that the song had not left a lasting impression on Ugandan listeners. D Star also challenged those who rate Kapeke to identify a flow from him that could match what he considers quality music.
“In Uganda, you can’t compare me,” D Star said, insisting that his own position in the industry could not be equated with Kapeke’s.
He further revealed that he had written a line aimed at Kapeke, using it to reinforce his criticism of the singer.
D Star also claimed to have intimate images of Kapeke’s girlfriend, but did not provide evidence to support the allegation.
The remarks are the latest in a series of public comments in which D Star has questioned the abilities and standing of fellow musicians.
Kapeke has yet to publicly respond to the latest criticism.
