Bobi Wine reveals why electricity was cut off nationwide

The leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine took to his Twitter page to reveal why there was a national power blackout yesterday 30th November 2022.

It should be recalled that majority areas in the country were left languishing in darkness for about 2 hours after power went off.

According to Kyagulanyi, this could have been a plot to kidnap some of his supporters.

His message then was rallying his supporters to be vigilant and to avoid unnecessary movements.

Kyagulanyi went ahead to say that these are not normal times and all government critics should be extra careful.

“As power is off nationwide, be sure the regime is abducting our people in darkness! So remain vigilant, comrades. Keep around a group of people if possible. Unless it’s urgent, do not go out. These are NOT normal times.”

A section of Kyagulanyi’s followers however criticized him about this.

These told him to stop being so propaganda driven that even the smallest of issues make him insecure.

“This is a perfect example of how trivial
@NUP_Ug is. Even a technical problem well explained by @uetcl
is @GovUganda
‘s fault! You just have nothing to say. Keep complaining as the nation moves forward,” former Kampala RCC Hussein Hudu said.

“Ahaaaa wabula bobi,,,,,…….but don’t you hv others statements that can keep you relevant as a former kyadondo mp??”

“We had such problem in Kenya three days http://ago.It is not normal to have power outage in the whole country. When it happens however,it is not because of human intention but because of system failure occassioned by severe short circuit fault or overloaded system.”

Meanwhile the Uganda Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd (UETCL) revealed that there was a technical glitch on the electricity transmission grid which brought about this mishap.

Power was however later restored.
