This election is going to be a bad election I am holding my rosary – Tinkasimire

The Member of Parliament for Buyaga west constituency in Kagadi district Hon Barnabas Tinkasimire has revealed what he thinks and expects of the upcoming Soroti East By-election.

According to Tinkasimire, there might a lot of bloodshed. The NRM rebel MP added that FDC candidate Moses Attan will win the election but he won’t go to Parliament.

Therefore he’s hoping and praying for the people of Soroti not to lose their lives as he anticipates unprecedented chaos.

He was quoted by Popular local Television station NBS Television via their Twitter hand saying;

“This election is going to be a bad election…”

Tinkasimire further added that he agrees with NRM’s regional leader for the East, Capt Mike Mukula that this is going to be one of the toughest elections the NRM has ever heard.

However, NRM’s spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa said that people should stop uttering baseless statements but rather use facts.

He said that in the 2021 general elections, NRM won with over 57% in Teso subregion. It’s for this reason that Museveni rewarded them with a Speaker of Parliament and vice president.

Mulindwa is therefore confident that the NRM will sweep this election over massively. The By-election will go down on the 28th of July. There will be fierce competition between NRM’s Herbert Ariko and FDC’s Moses Attan.
