Bobi Wine addresses those insulting Buganda Kingdom

The leader of the National Unity Platform, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine, has sent out a strong warning to all those aiming their insults at the institution of Buganda Kingdom disguised as People Power supporters.

This is after a video of a certain woman in Boston, USA putting on a People Power attire attacked the Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga and the Nabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda.

In this video, Nalubwama can be heard demanding for the immediate resignation of Katikkiro Mayiga. She further accuses the Kabaka’s wife Mama Nagginda for being among those that are conniving with Museveni to kill the Kabaka.

This is after several reports that the Kabaka is ailing. Some people have continually demanded for the Kabaka to be taken for specialized treatment abroad. Mayiga however a few days ago said that these people should know their boundaries.

Now replying to this video of Nalubwama, Bobi Wine criticized the actions in question and all those that target Buganda using NUP.

Kyagulanyi said that although they support their people to protest in peace against the injustices they face, this was uncalled for from Nalubwama attacking Nabagereka and the Katikkiro.

He added that this is not the way People Power or NUP works. And they therefore castigate any talk or actions that attack Buganda.

The singer turned politician added that its their enemies who are using such propaganda to divide and rule them without uniting to fight against them.

Further, Bobi Wine requested all those attacking traditions and culture to stop disguising as their supporters and do it on their own. Anyone who wears the people power attire and attacks Buganda always has a motive of tarnishing NUP in the eyes of the Baganda which is not the case and has never been.
