President Museveni is leading us into a dynasty- Hon Mubarak Munyagwa

Former Kawempe South MP Hon Mubarak Munyagwa has said that President Museveni is leading the county into a monarchy and hence a dynasty.

Museveni has so far led the country for 36 years and will have ruled the East African country for 40 years by the end of this term.

There is the talk of the inevitable, Uganda’s next president and subsequently his successor.

Of lately, its the Muhoozi project that has been ongoing with numerous birthday parties being held in different parts of the country in his honor.

However, Munyagwa says that what Muhoozi is doing is illegal and should be summoned by the courts.

“President Museveni is driving us into a dynasty.

What Gen. Muhoozi is doing is illegal, and Parliament needs to summon him and put him to order. Let him stick to the army,” Munyagwa said.

Muhoozi a serving army officer and his supporters have openly revealed how he will stand for the 2026 presidential elections.

This has been dominating different news outlets and its something that was bound to happen as it has been in the pipelines for long.

The Muhoozi project had for long been talked about especially by Gen David Sejusa who said that Muhoozi was being groomed to succeed his father.

Many government officials including both Museveni and Muhoozi downplayed these rumors. Museveni has always said how Ugandans reserve the right to vote their own leader and he can’t force his own son onto Ugandns if they don’t want him.

For Muhoozi, he had was reiterated how he’s okay serving in the army and is not interested in politics. However, the coin seems to have turned and he’s now interested in his father’s seat.
