Twitter has become the sort of place where elephants fight globally. The latest is a war between first son and current Commander of the Land Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Alliance for National Transformation leader Gen Gregory Mugisha Muntu.
This started after Muhoozi’s tweet saying that some people in the security agencies were hatching a war between Uganda and Rwanda. These however got their worst nightmare when his father President Museveni appointed him the CLF. He immediately reported them to his daddy who acted accordingly.
Muntu took to the tweet and advised Muhoozi to ask the Commander-in-Chief to retire him so that he can concentrate on his upcoming political career minus bringing the UPDF’s reputation into question.
Muhoozi also replied Muntu saying that neither he, his father nor the army needs his advice and he should keep it to himself and his small party that is collapsing.
Muntu also fired back and advised to Muhoozi to reread his (Muntu) tweet with a sober head to grasp the point he was putting across.
Muhoozi recently launched a political career through his numerous birthday parties that were spread across the country. Many people have however advised him to first retire from the army and concentrate on politics because what he does is contrary to the constitution.
