Cross Switch has appointed Jerome Alfred as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), a move aimed at strengthening operational capacity and accelerating growth as the company expands across emerging and established markets.
The appointment underscores Cross Switch’s strategy to deepen leadership expertise in response to increasing demand for digital payment solutions. As a company focused on enabling seamless transactions across multiple markets, Cross Switch is positioning itself for scale through enhanced operational efficiency and strategic execution.
Alfred brings over 15 years of experience in fintech and banking, with a track record of managing high-growth platforms and leading end-to-end operations. His background includes overseeing cross-functional teams in technology, operations, and business development, as well as building partnerships with major financial institutions to extend platform capabilities.
In his new role, Alfred will oversee daily operations, drive key strategic initiatives, and ensure that the company’s platform continues to perform reliably at scale. He will work closely with the leadership team to align operational delivery with evolving client and market needs.
Commenting on the appointment, Group CEO Tim Davis said Alfred’s blend of strategic insight and execution experience made him well-suited for the role.
“Jerome brings an exciting combination of strategic clarity, operational discipline, and deep industry insight. His experience in scaling complex payment environments and navigating regulatory landscapes positions him to help lead Cross Switch into its next phase of growth,” Davis said.
Alfred’s experience also includes working across multiple regulatory jurisdictions, ensuring compliance while maintaining the flexibility required for innovation—an increasingly important balance in the fast-evolving digital payments sector.
Speaking on his appointment, Alfred expressed confidence in the company’s growth trajectory.
“Cross Switch has built a strong and relevant platform. I look forward to working with the team to scale operations, strengthen partnerships, and deliver greater value to clients across our markets,” he said.
Beyond operations, Alfred is recognised for his focus on team development and building high-performance cultures, an area expected to support Cross Switch’s long-term ambitions.
The appointment comes at a time when competition in the digital payments space continues to intensify, with firms investing heavily in leadership, technology, and compliance frameworks to remain competitive.
With Alfred’s addition to the executive team, Cross Switch signals its intent to consolidate its market position while maintaining the governance, innovation, and operational resilience required to compete globally.
