Here is the reason singer Moses Matovu blasted MP Hon Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu

Kalungu County west MP Hon Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu was given a feat of embarrassment by veteran singer, Moses Matovu that he probably won’t ever forget.

While on stage performing, Ssewungu approached Matovu on stage.

It is here that the Afrigo band singer lost his cool and lashed out at the MP.

Sources say that after stepping on stage, Ssewungu tried to dictate songs that Matovu should play.

This visibly annoyed Matovu who went on a rant.

The singer said that he’s not ready to take orders from anyone and should be left along to perform his craft.

He even told Ssewungu how their Parliament is fake and yet they want to give orders around like they are intellects.

The 72 year old singer added that some people like him are tired of politicians wanting to politicize everything.

“Your parliament is fake. Nothing is decided during the plenary,” Matovu raged.

“We are fed up with you people wanting to politicise everything. It must stop. Some of us are tired,” he said.

Moses Matovu began his music career in 1965.

This was when he was the lead vocalist for the Thunderbirds band.

He however in 1975 joined Afrigo Band as one of the eight founding members.

They started as a small group playing at small parties and clubs in Kampala.
