Days after Ugandans and Kenyans taking to a heated argument over Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s comments of capturing Nairobi, a Ugandan MP has decided to add fuel to the somehow calmed environment.
Taking to her Twitter page, Mukono Municipality MP, Hon Betty Nambooze said that the Kenyan President H.E William Ruto who was in Uganda over the weekend for the Independence day celebrations was massively disrespected.
According to Nambooze, there is no way a state Minister could have welcomed an entire head of state.
This shows how Uganda’s diplomatic relations are wide off the mark.
It should be recalled that President Ruto together with his delegation were welcomed by Minister Henry Okello Oryem the state Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Nambooze wondered why out of the 45 Cabinet Ministers, there wasn’t at least one to welcome the team.
Besides, the Vice president, Prime Minister or former speaker of Parliament could have been designated with this simple task.
Nambooze then went ahead to tell Kenyans not to overlook Muhoozi’s threatening tweet.
Ruto should at least have been given a welcoming function of a higher ranking.
This was however immediately trashed by Nambooze’s followers.
They wondered why she’s trying to fuel a row that is nonexistent and also bring up problems between the two East African brotherly countries.
