This is how Minister Persis Namuganza survived being assassinated

Minister Persis Namuganza could have been deceased by now if it hadn’t been by luck, onlookers and her security team after an assassination attempt was made on her life.

According to the State Minister for Housing, Lands and Urban Development, unknown assailants attacked her car at the traffic lights at Bukoto on the Ntinda-Wandegeya road.

These reported assailants who were traveling on a motorcycle purposely attacked her window and threw something at it but luckily it didn’t get to her

These used the opportunity of cars stopping at the traffic lights to attack her.

However, her guards quickly fired at these hitmen although no bullet could hit them.

Other motor road users tried to knock them down in vain and the passersby were also key in saving the Bukono County MP as they made alarms.

Police also quickly swung into action but these assailants managed to flee the scene.

This incident occurred at around 7pm on the 21st of September 2022.

They are now trying to analyze CCTV footage to pick up something positive to use in the investigations.

Namuganza recorded a statement at Kira Road Police station.

Its said that she’s been constantly receiving death threats which she subsequently reported to Police and her boss, president Museveni.

A few weeks ago, the Speaker of Parliament Hon Anita Among also reported how she’s been receiving death threats before adding that unknown people have been trailing her.

And what is more surprising is that Namuganza and Among have some rift between them.

This stems from some land in Naguru-Nakawa which Namuganza is accused of having aided some individuals and entities to access defying a presidential directive.

Among on the other hand has been fighting tooth and nail to make sure that this land remains to the rightful owners.
