Hon David Kabanda reveals Naguru land grabbers are behind the planned assassination of the Speaker

NRM MP for Kasambya County Hon David Kabanda has come out to give more light on the reported rumors of assassinating the Speaker of Parliament, Hon Anita Among.

According to Kabanda, those planning to take away the Speaker’s life are the aggrieved land grabbers that illegally took the public land in Naguru a Kampala suburb.

This is after the Speaker stood firm and kept fighting tooth and nail to make sure the public land is saved.

“The fight again corruption and impunity in Uganda is very costly and deadly. It can lead to loss of your life. All the wars against Rt Hon Anita Among originate from her brave decision to date the Nakawa/Naguru land from opaque land grabbers,” tweeted David Kabanda.

The speaker recently came out to reveal how her life was in danger due to assassins tracking her movements although she didn’t reveal who they are.

The Minister of State for lands Hon Persis Namuganza has been under the spotlight by the Ad-hoc committee of Parliament to answer cases alluding to corruption.

She was also asked to give proper documentation in the manner through which some companies and individuals purchased the Naguru-Nakawa land.

Namuganza who is the MP for Bukono County in Namutumba district was blamed for falsifying a presidential directive which saw the Uganda Land Commission allocate land to various entities in her spell as lands minister.

For long, Namuganza has severally and publicly been stating how the Speaker of Parliament Hon Anita Among is behind her debacles as she uses her powers to influence committees to fight her personal and individual wars.
