FUFA president and the MP for Budiope east Eng Moses Magogo together with his new wife, speaker of Parliament, Hon Anita Among seem to be in an invalid marriage as of now.
According to a copy of the letter from the office of the town clerk, Makindye Division Urban Council addressed to the Registrar of Marriages in the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), the marriage was called off.
The letter states that glaring omissions and errors were discovered in the pairs marriage registration.
Therefore this letter sought to recede and withdraw this marriage registration.
The marriage was also officially deleted from the Division Customary Marriage Registrar.
“Please refer to my letter reference no MKD/KCCA/1308/06 dated 15th August 2022 on the registration of the customary marriage of Magogo Moses Hashim and Among Anita Annet. I have discovered glaring omissions and errors occasioned to me as a consequence of duress while processing this matter.”
“The purpose of this communication is to therefore recede and withdraw the registration and to inform you that I have formally deleted the
couple from the
Division Customary Marriage Registrar,” the letter from Rwakabale Geofrey the town clerk partly read.

It should be recalled that Among and Magogo legalized their relationship last month in a secretive ceremony.
The public got to know about it after photos started making rounds on social media.
Congratulatory messages from fellow MPs started raining in.
The couple had however been together for quite some time.
It’s waited to see whether the pair will appeal against this ruling or go ahead and cohabit.
