Hon Francis Zaake gives his side of the story about throwing away the Speaker’s money

Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament Hon Francis Zaake Mutebi has been one of the trending topics in the country owing to his recent wedding to now wife Bridget Namirembe.

Yes it was a wedding like others but there was one incident that pulled the headlines and is still doing so.

It’s said that Zaake allegedly threw away the money accorded to him worth Shs 10m by the Speaker of Parliament Hon Anita Among as a wedding contribution.

Zaake is said to have angrily thrown away this money availed to him by Ndorwa East MP Hon Wilfred Niwagaba.

Lots of people have come out to give their opinions about this development.

Many of them have criticized Zaake for such an unbecoming action whereas others especially NUP supporters applauded him for this behavior.

Those who criticized the MP wondered why he would avail an invitation to Among and then act in such a behavior.

These say that it was unnecessary for Zaake to do this and he could have politely declined the money.

An invitation letter has been circulating on social media showing that Zaake had invited Among.

She however couldn’t make it due to a heavy schedule. She therefore decided to send contribution instead and is said to have already given Zaake Shs 20m prior to the wedding.

Zaake however in a tweet said that he didn’t invite her neither did he solicit for her contribution.

He therefore asked the public to disregard the fake news.

Sources however say that Zaake threw the money in front of his father who in turn picked up it up.
