Gen Mugisha Muntu turns down MP David Kabanda’s request to join new Muhoozi party

Alliance for National Transformation leader Gen Gregory Mugisha Muntu has turned down an invitation from Kasambya County MP Hon David Kabanda to join the new Muhoozi project.

Kabanda has been one of the driving forces to see that the current commamder of the Land Forces joins politics and indeed it looks like its coming to fruition .

Kabanda through his Twitter page revealed how they are to form a new party known as the New Progressive Movement.

In this party, Kabanda said that Muhoozi can work with the likes of Mao, disgruntled members from FDC and even NUP. This will be a new clean political movement free from all the previous political feuds.

Kabanda further in another of his tweets said that many people dismissed him when he said that Muhoozi was going to be the next president of Uganda. He was therefore happy to announce that mobilization has already commenced.

While appearing on the NBS Barometer show, Kabanda said that they are tired of political feuds. Therefore the new movement he is proposing is meant to bring together different politicians regardless of the parties they align to.

However, Muntu respectfully turned down this invitation which was extended to him and his party.

The former UPDF Commander said that they are not like young monkeys who look over and laugh while the forest they reside in is up in flames. Therefore they are not ready to join this absurdity being proposed.

The main theme of yesterday’s Barometer program on NBS TV was to discuss the political ambitions of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and what his birthday celebrations mean.

Kabanda vowed during the show that Muhoozi will be on the ballot paper come 2026 and its not yet known if his father Museveni will have stepped down or if a coup being planned to overthrow him.
