The public is still in shock after Next Media Services company fired about 60 of it’s staff.

These included among others reporters, editors, presenters anong others.

Some of the notable people who found their name on the exit door from rhe Naguru based company include veteran media personality Karitas Karisimbi, sports analyst Michael Kigozi.

Reporters Elijah Turyagumanawe, Fatia Nassali, Jordan Mubangizi and Esther Namutamba were among those asked to try their luck elsewhere.

Sources privy to the matter say that the company has been facing a number of financial difficulties and this is one of the ways to mitigate them.

Cutting down the wage bill especially after the company unveiled a 1.5m USD complex in October to house the company premises was seen as one of the ways to address the alleged financial crisis.

Some of these took to their different social media platforms to express their disappointment.

A number of these are reportedly frustrated, regretting and in tears as losing employment in Uganda is one of the depressing factors.

However, a source claiming to be intimate with the matte said that some of these didn’t academic qualifications.

They were also redundant, unfit and others were engulfed in love triangles this being axed.
