Nowadays it’s very common to see a random Ugandan name on the big screen playing football for or against some of the biggest clubs.
And Ugandans are always excited to see that some of their own have made it to the big stage.
Actually it turns out that these don’t have any connections to Uganda.
But well a one Mudasiru Salifu took to his Twitter page to express his excitement on playing at English Premier League side Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium.
Mudasilu said that a simple boy like him from Jinja had had his dream achieved of playing at the Theater of Dreams.
Attached was two photos of him battling for the ball with Manchester United’s Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandez.
This was during the Europa league game between Man U and Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol that the Rwd Devils won 3-0.
Many Ugandans were excited to and took to the comment section to congratulate him.
Some however wondered why they had never heard about him being Ugandan or being summoned to any of the Uganda Football team categories.
It turned out Mudasiru had done the Mugisha Mvuka challenge.
Mugisha Mvuka who plays for Norwegian side BodĆø Glimt despite having a Ugandan name is from Burundi.
And having played against Arsenal at the Emirates, many thought he was a Ugandan lost sheep.
Same happened with Mudasiru. Well the Mudasiru who pays for Sheriff is Ghanaian and has never been Ugandan.
This Mudasiru who tweeted just happens to have the same names as the Ghanaian midfielder.
And of course after blowing his cover, his comment section blew up and he started getting insults.
