Musician Eddy Kenzo has revealed that he only works with politicians just to get money out of them.
The singer appearing in a local TV interview said that he has worked with different politicians over time.
One thing he has noticed that they have in common is selfishness and greed.
They only work to better themselves and he therefore no longer wants to partake in their activities.
Whether it’s Parliament or any politician, he basically doesn’t want to know.
He only now focuses only helping his beneficiaries with the little he can.
Besides if he’s seen working with politicians, he’s then only targeting money from them.
“I don’t want anything to do with politics anymore. I worked with them and all I can say is that they are selfish. So I decided to help my people with the little I can including singing songs to soothe their hearts. If you see me dealing with any politician, just know I’m targeting money from them,” said Kenzo.
The singer was some time ago at the centre stage of a power struggle between NRM and NUP supporters.
NUP-ists contended that it was their boss, Bobi Wine and his Firebase crew that gave him the ladder to get where he is.
He therefore had to pay allegiance to their boss.
On the other hand NRM-ists also claimed him because he had severally campaigned for Museveni.
Kenzo made his choice and sided with the NRM as he accused Bobi Wine of not welcoming him or demanding for his release from Ivory Coast where he had been confined during the COVID-19 pandemic when the government banned flights in and out of the country.
Since then after coming under fire, Kenzo has stepped his foot off the political gas pedal.
