President Museveni to address country about Ebola outbreak

President Museveni will tomorrow the 28th of September 2022 address the country over the Ebola outbreak scourge.

According to a State House press release statement, the address will be broadcasted on all TVs and radios countrywide at 8pm.

Gen Museveni will not only talk about the Ebola outbreak but also other issues of national importance.

“The Presidential Press Unit- PPU wishes to inform the general public that H.E the President of the Republic of Uganda and Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces, Gen (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will address the nation on the outbreak of Ebola and other important national issues this Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 8.00pm.

The National address will be live on all radios and TV stations.

Accordingly, the Uganda Communications Commission is hereby called upon to communicate to all the media houses across the country to air this address,” the statement read.

The Ebola outbreak was confirmed last week after samples done on the corpse of a 24 year old man in Mubende by the Uganda Viral Research Institute (UVRI) indicated that he had succumbed to the Ebola-Sudan strain.

According to Ministry of Health Statistics, the outbreak is gradually increasing.
