NBS TV journalist Canary Mugume is currently involved in an ugly Twitter spat with popular Ugandan hangout spot Kaazi beach.
The NBS journalist took to his Twitter page to attack the beach for the insecurity there.
According to Canary, the place is full of all kinds of thugs who have master keys and remotes to different cars.
These open people’s cars and run away with the different type of valuables they can come across.
Shockingly Canary said that these goons seem to be working with Busabala Police.
A number of people resonated with Canary’s claims. These said that indeed the place is dangerous and they thsmelesves have been victim to such incidences.
Kaazi beach however came out to give their own view of what transpired and trashed Canary’s claims.
According to Kaazi beach, Canary who was very drunk claimed that a laptop was stolen from his car at the venue.
Besides the place has a sign post advising clients not to keep their items in their cars but rather at the reception.
Canary however refused to make a statement to the Busabala Police which the management summoned after his complaint.
The statement from Kaazi beach goes ahead to say that Canary preferred to make his statement from Katwe Police station and this was granted.
However, on his way on a Police van, he jumped off and ran away failing to record any statement.
Tne beach management also wondered why the said thugs only had access to his car only yet there were many others parked there.
Kaazi beach also ridiculed the journalist for deciding to use his Twitter space to slander and undermine their business.
Kaazi Beach which is located in Busabala along Lake Victoria however has a lot to do to clean its image because a lot of people took to Canary’s tweet to express their displeasure on the security state at the place.
