Major (Rtd) Jessica Rose Epel Alupo and Robinah Nabbanja have maintained their positions as vice president and prime minister, respectively, as President Museveni announced a fresh Cabinet list for the 2026–2031 term. Museveni also named Dr. Lawrence Muganda to the new cabinet, confirming the Victoria University Uganda vice chancellor as state minister for internal affairs, alongside key appointments across government ministries, state departments, and top executive offices under the 1995 Constitution.
The new lineup largely retains experienced leaders in critical sectors including security, finance, foreign affairs, and social services, while maintaining continuity in the country’s executive leadership structure.
