Controversial Ugandan musician Alien Skin has revealed that his recent absence from the music scene was a deliberate move aimed at creating scarcity around his brand and music.
Speaking about his return, the Fangone Forest Entertainment boss said he temporarily stepped away from active music engagements to increase anticipation among fans before making a comeback with new energy and projects.
“I took a temporary break from music to create scarcity around my work. Now I’m back and this time I’m giving my fans a special gift, a concert on Eid,” Alien Skin said.
The singer, who has built a reputation for commanding massive crowds at his performances, expressed confidence ahead of the planned Eid concert, insisting that the success of the event does not depend on guest appearances by fellow artists.
According to Alien Skin, his music catalogue is extensive enough to keep fans entertained throughout the event without relying on other performers.
“Even if artists don’t appear, the show helps them, and even if they don’t come, I have many songs which take more than a day for me to perform,” he said.
His remarks come amid growing anticipation among supporters, many of whom have been waiting for his return following months of reduced public appearances and fewer musical releases. The artist remains one of Uganda’s most talked-about performers, with a loyal fan base that has continued to support him despite controversies and industry rivalries.
The upcoming Eid concert is expected to serve as a major statement of his comeback, with fans eager to see whether the self-styled street music star can once again demonstrate the popularity and influence that have made him a dominant figure in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
