Uganda ranked as the biggest consumer of pork in Africa

Just days after being ranked as the 2nd highest consumer of alcohol in the entire world, Uganda has landed yet another milestone in food-ing.

According to the latest information, Uganda is the biggest consumer of pork in Africa.

Despite having different religious denominations especially the Muslims and other beliefs that don’t eat pork, Uganda still bosses it when it comes to the delicacy.

Countrywide, pork is one of the most sellable foods as people enjoy it. This goes hand in hand with alcohol and no wonder Uganda ranks high among these two.

A walk around Kampala the capital city will tell you exactly why this survey might not have delivered wrong results.

Places such as Kyadondo, Nakulabye, Kabalagala among others are renowned sellers of pork that many revellers flock to enjoy the food.

In the upcountry areas, beef and other types of meats are a luxury whereas pork is almost an every day food.

It’s rare for someone selling pork to fail to make huge profits as it has a ready market.

There you have it Ugandans, your efforts have been seen and recognized, keep the flag soaring higher for more records.
