Betty Nambooze reveals NUP’s main goal under Bobi Wine

Mukono Mucincipality MP Hon Betty Bakireke Nambooze has said that their main goal under the National Unity Platform and Bobi Wine is the rebirth of the country.

They are rather not aiming at the presidency but rather rescuing the country from the abyss it is in under president Museveni. The MP thinks that Uganda under Museveni has pseudo independence. Therefore as their group, they want to capture total freedom for the country.

The MP who is ailing and currently admitted in the USA said that while recruiting them to NUP, Bobi Wine told them that he is not interested in political parties.

He was rather interested in a party to keep them together and closer to the people. They would then use this to rescue the country.

“We are seeking for a rebirth of our nation. Second independence, intending to rescue Uganda, not to be President.

When Kyagulanyi launched NUP, he said he didn’t like political parties. He said he wanted to start a party that would keep us together in a cause and connects with the people to rescue our country,” said Nambooze.

Nambooze a staple member of DP also addressed the current occurrences in the party. She said that she might be a member of NUP now but she has unfinished business with DP.

Nambooze also revealed that she goes with the flow of politics. The MP said that there is politics of yesterday, now and tomorrow. For her case she joined NUP, because it applies to the politics of now.
