Upper Volta survive Wakiso Scare
New Recruit Kenneth Odong won a decider against Mubarak Muson as his team Upper Volta ensured victory in a home fixture which could have gone either way. Despite 2 Apples from Andy Lukwago and Mah-de Mivule, Wakiso City Giants could not hold onto the match they led to loose the last 3 frames. Wakiso also dropped a lead they held for so long against Royal Giants on Sunday, until the dependable Vincent Ssekibuule won aa decider against Ibrahim Kayanja. It’s the first time in 3, that Musiraamu is losing a decider this season.

Club 408 Cue off their winning account against Royal Giants.
The weekend’s biggest suprise instead came from Club 408 who convincingly defeated Royal Giants in an exciting match at the Navigator club on Saturday. Timothy ‘Boika’ Lutaaya played worthy of every shilling spent on him to join from the Masaka Pool League. Jimmy Sserugo won the game which ensured the home team’s first 3 points of the season to add on to Jondu Emmy’s Man of the match performance with 3/4, in which the only lost game was an apple from Ibra Kayanja.

Gumikiriza inspires Akaanya to 2 consecutive Victories
The 1.5m signature of free Agent Alfred Gumikiriza was the missing link from Akaanya pool club who bounced from 3 consecutive defeats to 2 wins on the bounce. “Blacksheep” scored 6/8 in wins over Club 408 and Tororo Tigers; just like Team-mate Eric Nagaba as Akaanya moved from the foot of the table to Mid-table in just 3 days.
“The Tigers” had earlier defeated Kireka Pool club 8-12 away from home with heavy inspiration from Eric Mugabo and the in-form George Kiwanuka. Their defeat on Sunday at Akaanya was the reason they are not on top of the table after match Day 4
