President Museveni pays tribute to the late Speaker Hon Jacob Oulanyah

President Museveni yesterday 24th May 2022 paid his respects to the late Speaker Hon Jacob Oulanyah. Oulanyah who was the MP for Omoro County passed away in March due to multiple organ failure.

Museveni while campaigning for the late Oulanyah’s son Andrew Ojok Oulanyah in the Omoro by-election decided to pass by the late’s burial grounds. It was here that he met with Mzee Nathan Okori the father to the fallen speaker. The President revealed how he commiserated with Mzee Okori.

Further, the President said that he condoled with the people of Omoro. He then added that Oulanyah was such a great pillar and huge loss to the country at large.

He therefore urged Oulanyah’s son Andrew Ojok not to disappoint the people when they send him to Parliament. This is because they view him as his father. And if he impresses, they will then send him back as Ojok.

The election is set to take place tomorrow 26th May after campaigns were concluded yesterday.
