The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has handed out a hefty fine to Uganda Premier League side SC Villa’s coach Petros Koukouras.
Koukouras has been given this punishment after violating article 31(2) of the FUFA Competitions act.
He’s been fined 2 million shillings.
The fine has been handed out as a result of Koukouras’ behavior during the Uganda Premier League game against Wakiso Giants last month.
It’s said that Koukouras kicked a second ball onto the pitch as a sign of protesting which is contrary to the rules and regulations of the game.
He also delayed to leave the pitch after being sent off and tried to incite the home fans.
The article states that everyone involved in the game of football shall act in its best interests and. not try to put it into jeopardy.
He’s therefore been prohibited from taking part in any activities regarding football on the national level before the fine is cleared. Villa has also been advised to make sure that the fine is paid.
