The Ministry of Education and Sports through the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to release the 2020 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) Examination results today, Friday 20th August.
Scanty reports emanating from our sources close to UNEB indicate that 98,393 learners sat for UACE examinations in April 2021. Of these 57,264 were female while the rest were males from 2,339 centres across the country.
Like the UCE, the UACE results will also be scientifically released and the event will be broadcasted on all national television channels and radio stations.
Candidates are also expected to learn of their results using the Short Message Services (SMS) on mobile phones after the official release.
The release of results will be conducted at Nakasero State House under strict observance of Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The Education sector has been badly hit with the spread of the coronavirus and schools have not been operating at full capacity since March 2020 when the country was sealed off due to the pandemic.
Since then, some schools have been operating at half capacity while others have been completely off especially the Kindergartens. currently, all schools are in operational and only the Uganda Medical Schools were recently allowed to begin operations.
