Uganda’s leading pay TV company, StarTimes and Next Media’s Sanyuka Television have promised to broadcast Europe’s premier football competition the UEFA Euros live and in HD.
The Euros finals will kick off on the 11th of June, 2021, spread across 11 countries in Europe.
This was revealed today by the two brands in a press conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.
For one month starting on the 11th of June, the biggest international football party will take place across 11 cities in Europe.
Twenty-four countries including defending champions Portugal will be battling for arguably the second biggest football prize in international football.
Stars like Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku, Manchester United’s striker Bruno Fernandes, England’s Harry Kane among others will be looking to replicate their club form from last season for their national teams as they battle out for Europe’s top prize.
Today, StarTimes Marketing Director Ismail Lule and Sanyuka television’s general manager Joseph Kigozi revealed that the games will be live on their platforms with a lot of prizes to be given out to active viewers as they enjoy.
Sanyuka Television will localize its coverage to benefit the local audience with some of the best football commentators and analysts in the country.
The draws for the tournament will also be held on the home of sports, with several prizes to be won by the StarTimes subscribers during the whole tournament. This was confirmed by StarTimes marketing director Isma Lule.
