Saidi Kyeyune joins Sudan’s El Merrikh from URA

Former Proline FC and Cranes midfielder, Saidi Kyeyune has joined Sudanese giants El Merrikh from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC at an undisclosed fee.

Kyeyune who has been with the Cranes for the CHAN 2021 scored two of Uganda’s goals at the tournament with two thunderous strikes against against Togo and Morocco.

The club announced on Sunday they have acquired his services after putting pen to paper to a year’s deal.

Kyeyune described the deal as a dream come true.

“This is a dream come true. I have always wanted to make a move away from Uganda and this was what I wanted before Covid disrupted everything. It is a great opportunity to be part of the winning team,” he revaled to Let Out News.

El Merreikh is a former home to Ex-Cranes international Mike Mutyaba and current cranes custodian Salim Jamal.

They sit third on the Sudanese Premier League log with 14 points garnered in their opening six games.
