Video: ‘Togikwatako’ lawmakers in Sierra Leone exchange blows

There was drama in the Parliament of West African country Sierra Leone as the lawmakers there exchanged heavy punches.

According to footage accessed on the internet, the Parliament can be seen in a real fracas as things are seen flying around.

These engage in a real fistfight and it was caused by a proposition of electoral reforms.

It’s said that there was a debate over regulations to change electoral system to a proportional representation system.

The leading opposition party in the country All Peoples Congress (APC)  however objected yo these especially introduction of the regulations of the PR system.

This then saw the legislators from the ruling party, Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) take on their counterparts leading to a fight.

This all comes up as the country heads into a general election next year.
