Social media is currently raging with anger after a family married off their daughter just for cows.
According to a post on social media, a 15 year old girl whose names were withheld was married off by her parents after she seated her P.7 exams.
The girl is a daughter to a one Ntambara James shockingly an LC1 chairperson of Kyenshande village,Kinoni subcounty,Nakaseke North county in Nakaseke District.
Further, the man who is intended to marrh off this girl is son of Rugyengamanzi of Kyankwanzi district.
This video also shows the included parties in a kraal selecting cows they want to use.
This has sent a rage of fury amongst social media users.
Child marriage is one of the problems that is still hindering Uganda.
And this can be attributed to a number of factors such as poverty, cultural norms among others.
Despite the many government interventions and other organizations to curb child marriage, it still goes on.
