Uganda’s Coffee Industry Gets a Boost as Inspire Africa Group Launches New Products

Ntungamo, Uganda – October 1, 2025 – Uganda’s coffee sector is set for a major leap forward as Inspire Africa Group (IAG) launches its first range of coffee products at the Africa Coffee Park in Rwashamaire, Ntungamo District. The launch, happening on International Coffee Day, underscores Uganda’s ambition to add more value to its coffee and strengthen its global competitiveness.

The event will be officiated by the Chief Justice of Uganda, His Lordship Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny-Dollo, alongside several ministers and dignitaries.

Uganda’s Coffee Breakthrough

Inspire Africa Group will unveil a collection of premium coffee products designed to meet both local and international demand. The lineup includes drip coffee, capsules, ground coffee, and roast coffee, all processed to the highest standards. These products highlight the shift from exporting raw beans to offering finished, market-ready coffee innovations.

A Step Towards Global Markets

On October 7, 2025, Uganda will mark another milestone when President Yoweri Museveni and Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud flag off the first consignment of Inspire Africa coffee products to Somalia during the Uganda–Somalia Business Summit. This move signals Uganda’s growing footprint in regional trade and export markets.

Africa Coffee Park: More Than a Factory

The Africa Coffee Park, a 150-acre modern processing hub in Ntungamo, is designed to be the largest of its kind in Eastern Africa. The facility will use freeze-dry technology to produce instant coffee and diversify into coffee-based products such as beauty items and energy drinks.

The Park will also serve as a center for learning and innovation with a Coffee Academy, Convention Centre, Exhibition Hall, and IT Park, positioning Uganda as a hub for coffee tourism and industrial growth.

Supporting Uganda’s Development Agenda

This project is closely tied to the country’s National Development Plan (NDPIV 2025/2026–2029/2030), which lists coffee as one of the six key agricultural value chains targeted for value addition. By investing in modern facilities and expanding exports, Inspire Africa Group is directly contributing to Uganda’s economic transformation and job creation.

The launch of these products is not just a business milestone but also a statement of Uganda’s determination to take its coffee industry to the next level.
