The Uganda U17 Boys National Team, Cubs, held a rigorous training session today at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru as part of their ongoing preparations for the upcoming U17 AFCON 2025 Qualifiers in the CECAFA Region, set to take place from December 14th to 28th in Uganda.
Under the watchful eye of the technical team, the Cubs focused on refining their tactics, improving team cohesion, and building match fitness. The session included drills on ball control, passing accuracy, and defensive organization, showcasing the team’s commitment to peak performance ahead of the tournament.
The CECAFA qualifiers, which will feature the region’s top youth teams, are a critical stepping stone toward the U17 Africa Cup of Nations in 2025. As hosts, Uganda will not only be looking to qualify but also to assert dominance in the regional tournament.
The Cubs are expected to play several friendly matches in the coming weeks to test their readiness and fine-tune their strategies. With Uganda serving as the host nation, there is added pressure but also a golden opportunity to rally home support and inspire young footballers across the country.
As the countdown to December 14th begins, the Cubs remain focused on the task ahead, determined to secure a spot in the continental showcase and leave an indelible mark on the regional stage.
