The Minister of Education Hon Janet Kataha Museveni has directed the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) to grant a special paper to all the learners who missed their PLE exams.
It should be recalled that attention was brought to a group of 23 pupils who missed their exams at . Christine Primary School, Kakumiro district.
“I have directed the Uganda National Examinations Board (@UNEB_UG) to set a special paper for the 23 Primary Seven candidates from St. Christine Primary School, Kakumiro district, who recently missed their examinations.”
These 23 P.7 candidates allegedly missed their Mathematic paper last week.
This is after they failed to get a van to transport them in time to Mpasana Primary School where they were slated to sit for their papers.
Consequently Dan Odongo the UNEB Executive Director has directed the Kakumiro district Inspector of Schools to report to UNEB and find out about the arrangements for the administration of an alternative Mathematic paper.
“It was agreed that considering the exceptional circumstances under which the vulnerable candidates missed their examination, after fulfilling all the requirements, the Board administers another mathematics paper to the affected candidates,” Odongo said.
