Imagine being a Manchester United fan in such a time, it can just translate into heart break after heart break. The club has now become a joke globally.
The world’s richest man alive Elon Musk raised the hopes of the club’s faithfuls after he took to his Twitter page to reveal how he’s going to buy the club.
With the current crisis the club is in, fans were quick to jump in ecstasy over Musk buying it off from the Glazers.
Musk is estimated to be worth 265.7 billion dollars a thing that makes him the richest man alive. Man United on the other hand is just worth 4.7 billion dollars.
The club which is owned by the American super wealthy family, the Glazers has seen a torrid time under their ownership.
The fans want them out so badly in the hope that they can recover their supremacy they enjoyed many years ago.
With Musk’s revelation they thought that finally they are going to become a force to reckon both in the English Premier League and the European football.
Musk however as he’s known for his controversial and ‘jokerful’ tweets later on revealed that he’s not buying the club. The tweet was rather a joke.
Manchester United have so far played 2 games losing all two conceding 6 goals whilst scoring one which was an own goal.
They play Liverpool next who are also yet to get off the mark as they have recorded just 2 points in their opening two games.
