Bobi Wine tricked his uncle Nkonge Kibalama into buying dubiously buying NUP- new NUP Spokesperson

The Spokesperson of the new NUP faction based in Rubaga Gideon Tugume has come out to reveal how the current president of NUP Kamwokya faction, Bobi Wine dubiously bought the party from Moses Nkonge Kibalama.

While appearing on NBS Morning Breeze, Tugume said that as long as the original members are concerned, the memorandum of understanding between Kibalama and Bobi Wine is illegal. He called upon all those elected on the party’s ticket to come to their new offices in Kabowa for a blessing.

Tugume on why they can’t solve this crisis internally said that Bobi Wine’s group is arrogant. He has severally refused to respond to their numerous calls and emails.

Tugume also revealed how they asked Kyagulanyi to present accountability since he’s been registering people in the name of the National Unity Platform but to no avail.

Further, Tugume also revealed that Bobi Wine is not a member of their party. They only gave him a role in this new faction because he has done a lot in promoting it.

Besides Tugume also said that Kibalama had no mandate to transfer leadership to any other person. This is because he was only acting on behalf of the others and was an acting president. Therefore there is nothing as NUP Kamwokya as all they are doing is illegal.

Tugume also said that a committee has been set up to investigate how Bobi Wine purchased the party from Kibalama. Once their investigations are done, Bobi Wine will be summoned to appear before the committee. For now Kibalama and the secretary General have been suspended.
