Despite the top hierarchy in the national army UPDF trying to paint a good picture of the armed forces, it seems otherwise.
These have always claimed how the Force is one for the People but the public deeds of its officers have actually proved that it is one of indisciplined individuals wielding guns and striking fear into civilians and even other officers from their sister security organizations.
It was the same case in a video posted on social media where a soldier is seen dragging a traffic officer by his collar.
According to sources, the scuffle ensued after traffic congestion near Mukwano Mall in Kampala.
These officers ordered the traffic officer to clear the way for them. This officer however told them to be patient and this is where hell broke lose.
In this same scuffle, a bullet was allegedly discharged which damaged a civilian’s car.
This is not the first time that these officers are exposing their bullish nature to these road officers. Some have shot at these officers injuring them, humiliating and embarrassing them.
The most recalled incident was that of bush war veteran Gen Matayo Kyaligonza who slapped a female police officer a few years ago.
Many social media users have resorted to advising these traffic officers to always clear the way and let these army men have their way because most of them are not sober.
However, others disagreed saying that no one is above the law and it applies to everyone.
