We can win the Omoro By-election if we front one candidate- FDC MP Gilbert Olanya

Kilak South MP Hon Gilbert Olanya has come out to give a piece of advice to the Opposition in regards to the upcoming Omoro County by-election.

Preparations are ongoing to feel the void that was left behind by the late Speaker Hon Jacob Oulanyah who untimely passed away last month due to multiple organ failure.

The National Unity Platform earlier this week unveiled former FDC member Akecha Samson Toolit as their official flag bearer.

And to beat the NRM to the seat, Olanya feels like the Opposition should unanimously front one candidate because Omoro has even always been an Opposition ground.

Olanya further said that it will be difficult for the NRM’S Andrew Ojok Oulanyah to clinch victory once this is done.

“I think the best opposition can do now is to front a single candidate. If we want to take Omoro away from the NRM, we should front a single candidate. Toolit Simon is one of the best candidates for Omoro.

In case the opposition fronts a single candidate, it’ll be very hard for Andrew Oulanyah Ojok to win the Omoro seat.”

It should be recalled that the NRM has already fronted their candidate for this race.

And this is none other than Andrew Ojok Oulanyah. This is the late Oulanyah’s son.

And many people feel that he has the favorite odds to win the elections slated for 26th May courtesy of his father’s legacy and because of sympathy too.
