Nobert Mao provides update about Speaker of Parliament Hon Jacob Oulanyah’s health

The DP president Nobert Mao has come out to provide an update about the health condition of the Speaker of Parliament Hon Jacob Oulanyah.

Mao says that he’s currently in Seattle with the Deputy speaker Hon Anita Among, the Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny-Dollo and Oulanyah’s brother Frank Emuna.

Whereas Mao moved to the US yesterday, the trio had earlier gone to the US in a move that left the country worried about the Speaker’s health.

And according to Mao’s tweet, the Speaker needs serious and urgent prayers from everyone that can in order for him to recuperate.

Mao says that Oulanyah is very ill and deserves prayers. Besides the prayers, his privacy should also not be evaded.

Mao adds that the Deputy speaker Hon Anita Among will soon issue a statement but all shall be well.

The Speaker’s situation has been of public concern since February as his condition has been detoriating. He had to be flown out to the US where he’s been receiving specialized treatment for over a month now.

This week saw a number of political figures especially from the Opposition unite to send a message of solidarity and the best wishes to the speaker through their different social media platforms.
