NRM presidential candidate Yoweri Tubuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni says he will accept the out of the voting process provided the results are not tampered with.
Museveni was speaking shortly after casting his vote at Kaaro Primary school, in Swerenkye sub-county in Kiruhura district.
The incumbent, Yoweri Museveni arrived at Kaaro Primary School polling station at 3:25 pm to cast his vote which was covered live on ‘a few television stations’ due to the internet shut down that was instituted on the eve of the voting day.
Shortly after casting his vote, Museveni exchanged pleasantries with the voters in his area, thanking them for turning up to exercise their constitutional right of voting.
The NRM Flag bearer later told the press that he would accept the outcome of the voting process provided the results are not tampered with.
Museveni is among the 11 presidential candidates vying for the country’s top job were he is facing competition from NUP’s and fierce rival Robert Kyagulanyi, the only female candidate Nancy Kalembe, Joseph kabuleta, Patrick Oboi Amuriat, Nobert Mao, John Katumba among others.
