URA FC Acquires former Police defender Arafat Galiwango

Uganda Revenue Authority has announced signing Police FC defended Arafat Galiwango.

The lanky defender has joined on a three-year deal, with an option for a fourth year.

The left-back is the fourth signing in this transfer window for the Tax Collectors who recently unveiled Nunda Jackson, Hannington Sebwalunyo, and Ssali Davis.

“I have come here to try to improve and get better because I know as a player you always learn something new every day be it in training, during or after a match,” Galiwango told URA website.

“I’ve also come here to help the team to win and play some good football.

“I’m looking forward to achieving great things here – and winning trophies again with URA because it has been a while, which is what everyone’s aim is.”

Galiwango ends his three years stay at Police since joining the peace Keepers in February 2017 from Buganda Regional League side Azam

Police FC were aware of Galiwango’s imminent departure when they signed Eric Ssenjobe from KCCA FC.

At URA FC, he will have to compete with Brian Majwega (who can be used in advanced positions) for a starting place at the team.
