Uganda men volleyball champions Nemostars risk being thrown out of the ongoing Africa volleyball championship in Tunisia if they do not raise USD7000 by Friday.
After getting to the quarter final stage of the ongoing Africa club volleyball championships in Tunisia, Uganda’s only representatives Nemostars risk being thrown of the competition if they do not raise USD 7000 before close of business on Friday.
The money is to be paid to the hosts Tunisia volleyball federation to cater for the team’s travel and meals. To save the six-time Ugandan champions from looming humiliation, Lakhan motors has today extended a USD 1000 shot in the arm to the club.
The 2019 champions who are in the competition for the 7th time have so far played three games, winning two and losing one to the reach the quarter finals where they will face Al Shewehly of Libya who led group B.
Only 10 players travelled to Tunisia with team captain George Aporu as coach-player after failure to raise funds to facilitate Coach Andrew Okapi
