The nation and those who have been following the situation involving Kampala University owner, Prof Badru Kateregga, have been left in disbelief after revelations that he is not the father of one of his three children. A DNA analysis has confirmed that from the three kids he shares with his estranged spouse, Ms Shubaiha Jolly Kateregga, only two are his biological children.
This DNA assessment was carried out at the request of His Majesty Opio Charles Kangira, the Magistrate Grade One at the Chief Magistrates Court in Makindye. It turns out that the twins, who are the eldest, belong to Kateregga, while the youngest child does not.

It’s important to highlight that the couple is undergoing a contentious divorce, during which many startling revelations have surfaced. The couple’s discord came to light in 2013 when the Professor accused his wife of physically assaulting him and attempting to poison him, as well as trying to remove him from his businesses, including the University.
In her defense, Jolly claimed that these accusations are false and explained that the scars he exhibited were actually the result of a surgical procedure at International Hospital Kampala (IHK) to address blood clots and other serious health issues. Jolly further stated that when she wed Kateregga in 2012, she consistently supported him despite his numerous instances of infidelity.

Ultimately, it has been shown that she was not entirely faithful to her husband, to the extent of bearing a child outside of their marriage and raising this child as if he were Kateregga’s. Reports indicate that Kateregga is devastated, as he had loved and treated the child as his own.
