Nkumba University will host Makerere University Business School in a Group B mouthwatering encounter in the 2022 Pepsi University Football League in Entebbe on Thursday at 3 pm.
The visitors top the group with maximum points, 12 while the hosts are in the second position with 9pts.
“We have so far lost one game in the tournament and it was against MUBS but we have managed to keep ourselves in the race by winning all the other games,” Nkumba coach Bbosa Sulaiman said before adding.
“There is also a chance to finish top of the group should we win all the remaining games and hope maybe for their case they slip up somewhere, a win is all we are looking for tomorrow,” he added.
On the other hand, MUBS coach Charles Ayiekoh insists that topping their group is their ultimate goal as they look forward to winning this year’s tournament.
“We set a target of winning this trophy and we have shown our intentions by winning all our games so far and I am optimistic that will continue,” Ayiekoh noted.
The corresponding fixture ended 1-0 in favor of MUBS when they hosted Nkumba in Nakawa in April.
In the same group, the University of Kisubi occupies third place with 3pts while Muni University is at the base pointless.
Action in the Pepsi University Football League continues throughout the week at various grounds all over the country.
