Car Crash Hits Sheikh Kiti Days After Stirring Uproar Over Martyrs Shrine Comments

Muslim cleric and public speaker, Sheikh Burhan Kiti, was left heartbroken following an accident in Maganjo-Kawempe. According to details obtained by this website, the Sheikh’s recently purchased car was damaged and scratched, but the identity of the perpetrators remains unknown as they fled the scene

In a video shared with this website, Sheikh Kiti appears perplexed as he seeks help from nearby motorists. Witnesses noted that while the damage was not extensive, it meant Sheikh Kiti would have to cover the repair expenses himself.

Some individuals took to social media to remind the Sheikh of God’s might, suggesting that he brought this misfortune upon himself. It is worth mentioning that just a few days prior, he had expressed his discontent on social media regarding Christians who visit the Uganda Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo.

He claimed that God is omnipresent, suggesting that instead of gathering at the Martyrs Shrine, people should worship Him in their local areas. Furthermore, he asserted that these individuals are essentially idolaters and that the Martyrs are not as revered as the Church portrays them.

His statements did not resonate well with many Christians, prompting the Church to demand an apology from him. However, he firmly stated that he would not apologize and remained steadfast in his views.

There have been numerous instances where individuals faced misfortunes shortly after disrespecting God. For Sheikh Kiti, it remains uncertain if this was merely an unfortunate accident or potentially a divine reminder of God’s power.
