City lawyer Male Mabirizi has come out to present new evidence to pin House of Prayer International Ministries Pastor Aloysious Bugingo over his marriage to Susan Makula Nantaba.
Male ran to court accusing Bugingo and Makula of contradicting the customary marriage laws in Uganda.
On the 7th of December Bugingo and Makula got married in a traditional ceremony in Entebbe.
Male accuses Bugingo of contracting marriage yet he’s still legally married which contravenes the marriage act in Uganda.
This is liable to punishment of a jail term not exceeding 5 years.
Susan Makula is also accused of getting married to a man who she well knows is married and this is also punishable of a jail term not exceeding 5 years.
Bugingo however in one of his statements recorded at one of the Police Stations in Kampala denied this marriage .
He said that it was only a drink and bite and casual visit and not a traditional marriage.
Its from this that Male wrote to UCC requesting for footage of this ceremony which was aired on Salt TV.
Bugingo and Susan Makula are expected in court not later than 22nd January to answer these charges against them.
